I tried this tonight with milk chocolate chips, less sugar, half-n-half, and skim milk (3/4 cup) because that was all I had. It turned out really well; it was just very sweet b/c of the chips. Also, I'm sure it would taste better with cream. It was still a keeper with my adjustments. Thanks!

Whoa baby...that does sound good. Hmm....powdery crap or sugar, half and half and real chocolate. That's a tough one.

Pete, that looks amazing. We have all the ingredients in the kitchen, but are slouched on the couch exhausted. Fancy making it for us?

Go on.

Oh, yeah. That's my kind of hot chocolate. The real thing. :)

We missed the volume of snow down here in Milwaukee -- but we got quite a few inches of slush and a power outtage. Would have been slightly more tolerable with a cup of this on hand, that's for sure!

Hey now, slaving over the stove, perfectly blending the ingredients, and making sure it doesn't bubble over can be just as much of a work out. Never said I wouldn't shovel!

For my snow day in wintry Vermont, I was working on perfecting hot chocolate spoons to give as gifts. I'm nearly there and will post the recipe as soon as I work out the last lumps.
