Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup divided
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon divided
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ½ apple diced
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Stir the oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a jar.
  2. Step 2: Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  3. Tip: Stir once after 30 minutes to prevent clumping.
  4. Step 3: Melt the butter in a skillet and add the apple, remaining cinnamon, and remaining maple syrup.
  5. Step 4: Cook 4 to 5 minutes until tender and lightly caramelized.
  6. Step 5: Stir the oats, top with warm apples and walnuts, and serve.
  7. Tip: Add a splash of milk if the oats are thick.
