Ingredients

1 box vanilla wafers
4-5 ripe bananas, sliced
2 cups whole milk
1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
8 oz cream cheese, softened
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
16 oz whipped topping, thawed, divided

Equipment

  • 1 Trifle dish or individual cups
  • 1 Mixing bowls
  • 1 Hand mixer

Method

Step 1: Whisk the milk and pudding mix until thickened, about 2 minutes, then let sit for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the condensed milk and vanilla.
Step 3: Fold the cream cheese mixture into the pudding.
Step 4: Fold in half of the whipped topping.
Step 5: Layer wafers, bananas, and pudding in a trifle dish or cups, repeating and ending with pudding.
Step 6: Top with remaining whipped topping and crushed wafers.
Step 7: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
Tip: Chill overnight for a softer, more traditional texture.

                  Notes

For the best texture, chill for at least 4 hours before serving so the wafers soften slightly and the flavors meld.
