1 box biscuit mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley, for brushing

Equipment

  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Method

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
Step 2: Make a roux with butter and flour, then whisk in broth and milk, cooking until thickened.
Step 3: Stir in chicken, vegetables, and seasonings, then pour into the dish.
Step 4: Mix the biscuit dough with cheddar cheese folded in.
Tip: Don't overmix the biscuit dough, or the biscuits can turn tough.
Step 5: Drop spoonfuls of dough over the filling.
Step 6: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Step 7: Brush with garlic butter before serving.

                  Notes

Brushing the biscuits with garlic butter right after baking, while they're still warm, gives the best flavor and shine.
