Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 4 fried eggs
  • 2 tbsp sliced green onion
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet

Method

  1. Step 1: Brown the ground beef in a skillet.
  2. Step 2: Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
  3. Step 3: Cook 3 to 4 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Tip: Don't cook too long, or the sauce can reduce and turn sticky.
  5. Step 4: Serve over rice with a fried egg, green onion, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Fry the eggs with a runny yolk so it mixes into the rice and beef for extra richness.
