Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • Flaky sea salt to finish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Whisk the butter and both sugars until smooth, then whisk in the egg and vanilla.
  3. Tip: Let the butter cool slightly first.
  4. Step 3: Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold in the chocolate.
  5. Step 4: Press the dough into the skillet and top with extra chocolate.
  6. Step 5: Bake 22 to 25 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is just set.
  7. Tip: Slight underbaking keeps the middle gooey.
  8. Step 6: Cool 10 minutes, sprinkle with flaky salt, and serve warm.
